OSDI showing 2014

Orchesis Summer Dance Intensive

OSDI - July 22 - 27, 2018

About Orchesis Summer Dance Intensive

The Orchesis Summer Dance Intensive (OSDI) consists of intensive training with professionals in the dance field.

Through a concentrated period of study in contemporary modern and jazz techniques, creative processes including improvisation, contact and other movement explorations, and supportive wellness practices, dancers develop individual movement expertise. Other elements of the workshop include attention to personal performance technique and developing the creative dancer within a process-oriented session.

OSDI 2018 will offer six consecutive days of dance: 6 class days, Sunday through Friday, followed by a free, informal studio sharing with friends and community, Friday evening. This intensive is geared toward most levels of dancers wishing to develop greater facility and dance knowledge. High School students ages 16 & 17, with recommendation from their teacher will be accepted.
